Update from the PLANZ Executive
This update farewells and welcomes new executive and provider members, gives details of the April provider conference, as well as changes to attestation and accreditation.
Facilitator Accreditation
The PLANZ executive have been discussing with the Ministry of Education how we can work together to review the current accreditation dimensions.
National Executive Meeting Update
On the 16th October the Executive met to discuss correspondence with the Ministry, updates to the PLANZ website, conference planning and the review of the accreditation process.
Facilitator Professional Standards
The PLANZ Executive support the development of Facilitator Professional Standards that are aligned and cohesive with standards across the teaching profession.

PLANZ Executive Meetings
The Professional Learning Aotearoa (PLANZ) National Executive have met regularly with the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Education Council of Aotearoa New Zealand.
PLANZ Launch
Professional Leaning Aotearoa PLANZ was officially launched by Marama Fox on April 12th in the Foyer in the Beehive, Wellington, New Zealand. Over 75 people attended including Representatives from the Ministry of Education, David Seymour, Katherine Dalahunter, representatives from the Catholic Education Office, Education Council, School Leaders, Distinguished Academics, Ngāi Tahu and delegates from Professional Learning Development Organisations from both English and Māori Medium.
Official Launch
The association will be officially launched in April 2016 with an official ceremony. Details will be advised.
Consultation Process Invitation
PLANZ has been invited to participate in the consultation process with the Ministry of Education (New Zealand) with the goal of introducing accreditation for Facilitators including the associated criteria.
